The House of SHOWFIELDS entrance is a 3D installation made of drywall and wood panels combined by a 3D mapped motion projection. Woods works in the overlap of the digital and physical worlds. His work is built on a conceptual framework derived from the impact of emerging technologies on humankind. Part of his animation includes a 3d model of Sol Lewitt’s Variations On an Incomplete Cube sculpture. For this piece, Justin used a virtual reality experience combined with a giant sculpture designed to include parts of an incomplete cube that you can walk under. It relates to the theme of SHOWFIELDS, taking an idea from digital conception and bringing it to physical life.
